About the project
Lusail International Circuit is a permanent circuit located just outside Doha Qatar. The track was built in 2003/4, at a cost of more than $58 million and upgraded in 2013. The first event to be held at the circuit was the Moto GP, won by Ste Gibernau. Apart from Moto GP, other events include Rallies, WSBK as well as national events.
The track is 5.3KM in length, with a main straight of just over a kilometre. One other major feature of the track is the floodlights, which enable testing around the clock.
